 - Background - Original photo (Bottom of layer stack)
 - Layer 1 - Added lighting effect to Emma with a Soft Light blend mode.
 - Layer 2 - Maximum filter applied with a Divide blend mode with a mask applied to the background
 - Layer 3 - Minimum filter applied with a Soft Light blend mode with a mask applied to the background. (Top of layer stack)

HDR Riverhurst Ferry - July 1, 2012

The sun and clear blue sky were behind us and a summer storm was waiting for us on the other side.

Taken July 1, 2012 on the Riverhurst Ferry, Saskatchewan Canada.

Just as the ferry was leaving the dock, a large crack of thunder sounded.

Luckily the horses in the two horse trailers did seem to be bothered.

One of my favorite non wildlife photos.

Snowy Owl - February 18, 2012

After seeing John E. Marriot's Snowy Owl photos from Vancouver, I had hoped to get some more shots other then my standard sitting on a power pole photo.

Luckily on February 18, I found a Snowy Owl that didn't mind have it's picture taken.

This one was taken on the side of highway south of Wood Mountain, SK Canada.

After pulling over onto a grid road I was able to get some more photos.

 I walked to back of my SUV, opened the back hatch and sat there for a while...
